Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello has signed the 2023 appropriation bill of over N243 billion into law. He said the incoming administration might make changes or maintain the approved budget.

The budget was N5 billion above the N238 billion budget proposal presented to the Niger House of Assembly for consideration.

The capital expenditure stands at over N152 billion, while the recurrent expenditure is over N91 billion.

Mr Bello expressed optimism that the budget would benefit Niger people and, if implemented, up to 90 per cent would bring about a better state.

He commended the legislature for their continued support.
