Nike unveils new Super Eagles home, away kits; makes major changes

American clothing manufacturer, Nike, has unveiled new kits for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, along with other national teams, as part of its partnership for the 2024/2025 football season.
Nike made the announcement of the new national teams’ jerseys in a video posted across their social media platforms on Monday, with the caption “The 2024 National Teams Kits disrupt convention with bold twists on icons.
“Featuring Dri-Fit ADV innovation, each kit is engineered for the needs of the modern footballer, from kick-off to the final whistle,” the post read.
For the first time in three years, the Super Eagles will adopt a white colour for their home kits this year instead of the recent green-themed jersey.
The new home kits feature an eagle drawn on the front, amplified by the white colour of the jersey. They also have green stripes on the ends of the sleeves and shorts.
Additionally, Nike opted to ditch the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) crest for the word ‘Naija,’ boldly written in green on the front of the jersey.
For the away kits, Nike opted for a black-themed background jersey with touches of green patches pasted all over it, but the NFF crest remained on the top-left area.
Nigeria is expected to play with the new kits in the next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying break in June when the Eagles will face South Africa at home and Benin Republic on the road.
