Nobody can come between me, my acting career; I’ll die for it: Kunle Afod

Popular Nollywood actor Kunle Afod revealed that he rejected an opportunity to relocate abroad several years ago because of his commitment to his acting career.
Afod disclosed this during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar on YouTube, where he discussed the sacrifices he has made to sustain his career in the Nigerian movie industry.
The actor said his commitment and passion for acting influenced his decision to stay in Nigeria despite having other opportunities.
“I had the opportunity to relocate abroad so many years ago, but I didn’t embrace it because of this same job,” he said.
He added that he sometimes goes as long as six months without calling his children because of his work, noting that nobody can come between him and his career.
“Sometimes I don’t call my kids in six months. Nobody can hinder me. I was born for this, and I will die for it,” he stated.
When asked about the cause of his separation from his wife, Afod shared his views on infidelity, claiming that women cheat just as much as men but are more secretive about it.
The actor’s marriage crashed in February 2026 after his wife, Desola, reportedly moved her things out of their marital home.
