Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu battered by soldiers for wearing Biafra regalia

Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu was pummeled by men of the Nigerian Army for wearing outfits with Biafra regalia.
A social media source, via a viral video, alleged that the veteran actor on Thursday stopped over at a market in Onitsha before he was attacked by soldiers who beat him up for his Biafran outfit.
This development comes shortly after the Muhammadu Buhari regime launched the “Exercise Golden Dawn” military exercise against the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN).
The Commander, 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, Raymond Utsaha, said the three months exercise was to “build on the gains so far recorded over the menace of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its Eastern Security Network (ESN)”.
Confirming the attack on the veteran actor to Peoples Gazette, Anambra Police spokesperson Ikenga Tochukwu, said the command was aware of the incident and was monitoring the situation.
He said the police will comment once the details surrounding the incident are clear.
“We are monitoring the situation, once the details are clear we will also comment on it.
The command is aware of the issue that happened there but we have not gotten details of what transpired,” Mr Anthony told The Gazette Thursday evening.
