NSCDC decorates 448 newly promoted officers in Benue

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Benue State Command, on Thursday decorated 448 newly promoted officers in the command with their new ranks.
The State Commandant, Larai Bitrus, who decorated the officers in Makurdi, said that the new rank attracted higher responsibilities, dedication, and effectiveness.
Ms Bitrus charged the promoted officers to redouble their determination to exhibit professionalism in service delivery.
She said, “The newly promoted officers should bear in mind that promotion and elevation in the public service is a call for higher responsibilities. I therefore charge you all to redouble your determination to exhibit professionalism in service delivery because, as the saying goes, ‘to whom much is given, much is expected.’’
The commandant assured the governor that the command would continue to do its best in protecting the national assets in the state.
She also promised that the command would collaborate with other sister agencies in the state to ensure that the citizens could sleep with their two eyes closed.
The state governor, Hyacinth Alia, congratulated the promoted officers and charged them to live up to their new responsibilities.
Represented by the Director General of the Bureau for Homeland Security, Jacob Gbamwua, Mr Alia promised to continuously assist security agencies in the state to succeed in their efforts to rid the state of criminalities.
The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering, Major Gen. Adams Audu, charged the newly promoted officers to reciprocate the promotion gestures with more dedication to duties.
Mr Audu informed them that those under and above them were watching their actions, saying that whatever they do would be rewarded accordingly.
