Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Saturday at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital after MRI examinations detected a loose body.

The Turkish champions, in a statement on X on Friday, said Osimhen strained his left knee during their 2-0 UEFA Champions League victory over VfB Stuttgart of Germany in Istanbul on Tuesday.

The club said, “In the UEFA Champions League match we played against VfB Stuttgart, our player Victor Osimhen sustained a strain in his left knee, and MRI examinations detected a loose body.

“An arthroscopic knee surgery will be performed tomorrow at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital by our club doctor Yener İnce.”

The club said that, following the medical update, Osimhen had been withdrawn from the squad to face Amed Sportif in their Turkish Super Lig home fixture on Saturday.
