Photos exposing Aisha Buhari’s ‘pregnancy’ were doctored: Presidency

The presidency has denied photos of Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari, where she appears pregnant, as being doctored by mischief makers.
Sulaiman Haruna, spokesperson for Mrs Buhari dismissed the ‘pregnancy’ photos as fake, while maintaining that the first lady is not sick or pregnant.
Peoples Gazette on Monday reported how new photos of Mrs Buhari triggered pregnancy rumours on social media, with Nigerians wondering if she’s expecting a baby.
However, reacting to the rumour on BBC Pidgin, Mr Haruna, who earlier declined comment when contacted by The Gazette, said Mrs Bubari is “100 per cent Okay.”
“Some of di reports na just from mischief makers wey no mean well, you know nowadays pipo fit tamper with fotos,” Mr Haruna told BBC Pidgin on Tuesday.Â
The spokesperson further stated that “I go tell you 100 percent say our First Lady dey perfectly okay and no get any disease or pregnancy as some dey report.”
In one of the photos seen by The Gazette, Mrs Buhari, alongside her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, was surrounded by security officials, with one of them carrying her handbags.Â
