Police begin screening of 1,537 applicants in Ebonyi

The police command in Ebonyi has announced the commencement of physical and credential screening for 1,537 applicants in the ongoing nationwide recruitment.
Police commissioner Augustina Ogbodo disclosed this on Thursday in Abakaliki.
Ms Ogbodo said the screening started on Monday and had been hitch-free.
The police chief explained that the recruitment was to boost the manpower of the Police Force not only in Ebonyi but across the country.
“The screening had been hitch-free since day one. It has been orderly to ensure that only certified and qualified applicants are screened.
“Yes, we are picking the most qualified applicants, and you know, the exercise is free,” the police commissioner said.
Ms Ogbodo said the command was committed to a secure environment for the citizenry and urged all hands to be on deck to protect lives and properties.
The exercise ends on January 29.
