Police rescue man who stole electrical devices from Lagos mob

The police said that the suspect “has been arraigned and is currently on remand.”

The police in Lagos have saved a suspected thief (name withheld) from mob justice for allegedly stealing electrical devices.

The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said this on Tuesday on his verified Twitter handle.

He said that the timely intervention of police officers from Surulere Division saved the suspect from mob.

“On Jan. 25, 2023 at about 8:30a.m police officers of Surulere Division rescued a man from an angry mob after he stole from the store of the National Stadium two electric switch boxes and 28 electric circuit breakers,” he said.

Mr Hundeyin said that the suspect has been charged before a court and kept behind bars.

“The suspect has been arraigned and is currently on remand,” he said.
