Quarter-finals: Real Madrid dump Manchester City out of Champions League, Bayern pip Arsenal
European Champions League masters Real Madrid have dumped out their nemesis Manchester City in tense and cagey return leg on Wednesday night at the Etihad Stadium.
The match ended 1-1 after extra time and went into penalties.
Real Madrid emerged the winners after the shootout and qualified for the semi-finals. They defeated Manchester City 4-3 in the shootout.
The first leg in Bernabeu had ended 3-3.
They will now face Bayern Munich, another nemesis they must work hard to overcome to play in the final at Wembley.
In the other game, Arsenal versus Bayern, after a 2-2 draw at the Emirates, the German machine pipped the Gunners in 1-0 win at the Allianz Arena.
Meanwhile, PSG will face Dortmund in the other semi-final game.
