Rivers group holds novelty football match for Tinubu

A Rivers State socio-political pressure group, Enforcers of Good Governance, said it organised a novelty football match in honour of President Bola Tinubu.
The group’s convener, Dr Ogu Kingsley, said on Sunday in Abuja that the event took place in Ogbogu, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
He said the match featured the Enforcers football team against a Rivers State celebrities’ side and was held as a tribute to President Tinubu for policies aimed at building a more prosperous Nigeria.
Mr Kingsley also lauded the President’s support for sports development nationwide.
He noted that the novelty match formed part of the group’s grassroots mobilisation efforts to engage communities and rally support for Mr Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
He said the Enforcers team defeated the celebrities’ side 6–1 in a thrilling game that delighted spectators.
According to him, the event blended sportsmanship with political advocacy, attracting sports enthusiasts and supporters of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
