Sanwo-Olu visits Hilda Baci as chef attempts world’s longest cooking time record

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos on Sunday visited Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci to cheer on the chef as she attempts to clinch the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual.
Ms Bassey was thrilled to be paid a visit by the governor on Sunday afternoon at Amore Gardens, in the Lekki area of Lagos State.
“I showed up to support Chef Hilda Baci, in her quest to break the Guinness World Record @GWR for the longest time spent cooking by an individual,” Mr Sanwo-Olu tweeted.
“Her dedication, passion for cooking as well as her desire to put our rich culture on the map by not only exhibiting our food but also the resilience, determination, energy and team spirit that has come to be known as the spirit of Lagos and indeed Nigeria is truly remarkable.”
Ms Hilda plans to cook for four days as she aims to break the 87 hours, 45 minutes, set by Chef Lata London in 2019.
The event began on Thursday, as the 27-year-old chef, targets to cook for 93 hours. She has received several support from chefs, celebrities, politicians and well-meaning Nigerians.
