Soludo, Ibezim pledge issue-based campaign ahead of Anambra governorship poll

The Soludo-Ibezim Campaign Organisation (SICO) has reiterated commitment to a campaign cantered on issues and development ahead of the November 8 governorship election.
This is contained in a statement by the Director-General, SICO, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, to journalists on Friday in Awka.
Mr Chukwulobelu expressed strong confidence in the leadership and public support for the incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
According to him, the Soludo-Ibezim ticket remains the popular and consensus choice of the people backed by a solid record of governance.
He said, “We will not be distracted. Our focus remains firmly on Anambra’s future and the real issues that matter to the people. We are committed to showcasing governance milestones, policy achievements and a long-term vision for sustainable development in Anambra State.”
The director-general highlighted key accomplishments under Mr Soludo’s administration over the past three years.
Mr Chukwulobelu stated, “Governor Soludo’s administration achieved major strides in infrastructure, healthcare, education and economic reforms. All achieved without external borrowing. We do not take the people’s support for granted. We are working hard to earn every vote based upon the value that we have created and will still create for the people. Anambra State is far too sophisticated to be governed by the semi-literate or people of easy virtues. Anambra State cannot afford to go backwards.’’
