The FRSC stated that 15 people were involved in the accident, comprising 14 men and one woman.
The accident was caused by route violation and dangerous driving, a road safety spokesman said.
The FRSC sector commander said a vehicle lost control due to speeding and rammed into three other vehicles.
The Ogun command of the FRSC said the tanker with no registration number exploded some few kilometres after the Sagamu interchange.
“The corpse of the victim has been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital, Ifo,” he said.

A total of 38 people were involved in the accident which comprised 20 men, 13 women, three male and two female children.
The two vehicles involved in the accident are a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number, MKA 567 XZ and an Iveco articulated vehicle marked XF 854 KTN.
Mr Umar said the accident occurred at 12:20 a.m. and it was caused by excessive speeding, wrongful overtaking and loss of control by the driver.
