Nigeria Civil Security and Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 2,500 personnel in Plateau ahead of the Christmas and New Year.
NSCDC has deployed 2,042 personnel towards a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration in Plateau.
The suspects were in the process of duping their victim of his N288,000 when they were arrested by operatives of the NSCDC.
Mr Longbit assured residents of the state that the deployment was to ensure a hitch-free Easter celebration and not to scare people.
The corps said the activities of illegal petrol marketers had further created artificial fuel scarcity.
Aside from the police and civil defence, a detachment of Operation Safe Haven personnel has also been deployed to the complex.
One of the suspects specialises in vandalising electricity armoured cables, transformers and other facilities.
