On Thursday, two men, Sunday Joseph, 19, and Pius Temse, 25, were arraigned before the Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for stealing.
Mr Adewale said the trio allegedly obtained registration by false pretence in disobedience to lawful order.
The defendants, of unknown addresses, are facing a two-count charge of burglary and stealing.
The pleas of the defendants were not taken.
The defendant is being tried on a three-count charge of attempted murder, illegal reconnection of power and breach of public peace.
“The invaders were known to be members of the Viking Confraternity cult group that had been terrorising Efeyi and its environs,” Mr Uletu said.
Mr Adaka informed the police that the hoodlums mercilessly beat up the commissioner and inflicted various degrees of injuries on him.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
On Wednesday, the Ekiti police command arraigned 32-year-old Fatoyebi Kola before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for stealing generators.
The defendants, of unknown addresses, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and assault.
