Nigeria’s senior civil servants say they are committed to pursuing workers’ welfare, including restoration of gratuity payment.

Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi has reduced the working hours for the state workers by one hour due to Ramadan fast.
The examination will centre on knowledge of civil service, professional competence and general knowledge.
“This means there was no basis for the prosecution of the plaintiff (Mr Ibe) by the defendant (ICPC) going by the uncontroverted facts of this case.”
Civil servants from MDAs on grade level eight and above would be sitting for the examination.
“Due to the recurrent trends of shortfall in budgetary allocations…there might be an envisaged delay in payment of December 2021 salary.”
The PSC boss had said civil servants who refused vaccination would have to present negative PCR tests every 72 hours.
Workers on grade level two to six would get N80,000, while those on grade level seven to 10 would collect N250,000.
The council boss said the budget would cover capital expenditures, overhead costs and social welfare, among others.
