He expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work on the section.
Mr Ahmed urged motorists, especially truck drivers, to ply the road patiently.

Mr Umahi said the estimated cost per kilometre included contingency and variation of price (VOP), which may not even be used.

Mr Umahi said the project was tagged as “Rebuilding Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road by President Bola Tinubu.”
Mr Goronyo said that the project was enough to attract more votes for Mr Tinubu in 2027.
Mr Umahi, while inspecting the bridge’s underdeck on Wednesday, told journalists that the decision was made in agreement with stakeholders.
The minister said a team of engineers had been dispatched to assess and begin repairs on the bridge.
