A spokesman for APC guber candidate Ovie Omo-Agege said “this is one tragedy too many, and our party is officially in mourning.”
He said the EFCC was neither the agency that arrested Mr Ekweremadu and his wife in London nor was it a party in the case abroad.
“My appeal is that you support Tinubu as president, Omo-Agege as governor, our senator, members of the House of Representatives and the House of Assembly,” the politician said.
Mr Malami explained that “ it is not a matter over which the federal government can develop any interest.”
Mr Ekweremadu appeared in court on Thursday, where the judge announced that he will remain in Custody till the end of October for the next hearing.
Mr Iwuanyanwu said the organisation was determined to defend any of its members whose right and freedom is being unduly trampled upon anywhere in the world.
Several appointees that intend contesting at the 2023 polls are yet to relinquish their present positions.
“If the Mayoral Council is established, the office of the FCT Minister will automatically seize to exist.”
