Beneficiaries of the training include 80 officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps and 117 from the Nigeria Police Force.
Mr Magawata stated, “They are criminals; they are armed robbers, and they use motorcycles to kidnap innocent residents.’’
He further said that all necessary machinery had been activated for the smooth take-off of the initiative.
Yusuf Suberu, FCT squadron leader at the Vehicle Inspection Office, made this call in an interview on Monday in Abuja.
Mr Emetu explained that DRTS had registered over 4,600 despatch riders in the FCT and were operating legally in the territory.
The VIO boss also urged members of the public to be patient while using the road to avoid road crashes, obstructions, and death.
DRTS’ head of operations, Deborah Osho, said in Abuja on Friday that the vehicles were impounded during routine operations to rid the city of illegal taxi operators.
He expressed disappointment at drivers who consumed alcohol within and outside the motor parks before embarking on journeys.
“The FCT, which has the best road networks, is still experiencing a very high rate of these traffic challenges.”
DRTS says it will deploy artificial intelligence around some road interjections in Abuja to manage traffic.
