Mr Okorie is the executive director of the Electricity Consumer Protection Advocacy.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission states that Electricity Distribution Companies installed 225,631 meters in the Second Quarter of 2025.

The increase in tariff will take effect from September 1, with a tariff rate of between N42.44 to 58.94, depending on customer class.
