In his teaching, Mr Adeboye listed Nigeria’s challenges, stating that the country needed prayers.
The president-elect in a congratulatory message shared on his official Facebook page wished the cleric sound health as he continues in God’s service.
“May God almighty ensure that Nigeria elects somebody with character, somebody who is competent, somebody who will respect our religious rights.”
The cleric also hinted that he may guide Nigerians on whom to vote for if God reveals the would-be winner to him before the polls.
“There are murderers wearing police uniforms, I survived.”
Mr Adeboye said he could not fathom why the federal government was more concerned with beautifying banknotes than figuring out a solution to increase the value.
