NDLEA boss Buba Marwa has said that the National Drug Control Master Plan (NDCMP 2026-2030) would strengthen Nigeria’s ongoing drug control efforts.
NDLEA officers on February 13, raided a four-bedroom duplex at 2 Alexandria Terrace, Ikate-Elegushi, Lekki, used for the production and storage of Colorado, a synthetic cannabis.
NDLEA said a stash of illicit substances, including cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, skunk, and tramadol, was recovered.
“Operatives recovered eight litres of precursor chemicals, 14 grammes of skunk and Colorado production paraphernalia,” Mr Babafemi said.
The drugs, weighing 1.589kg, were concealed in the suspect’s stomach.
Mr Babafemi said that a total of 4,063.675kg skunk was destroyed on over 1.6 hectares of farmland.
Mr Babafemi said that the drugs, concealed in factory sealed sachets of cold-water starch, heading to the United Kingdom.
Mr Babafemi said the NDLEA operatives attached to the Terminal II departure hall of the MMIA arrested the suspected drug trafficker on December 18.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has recovered over 7.6 million pills of tramadol and a total of 76,273.4 kilograms of different strains of cannabis.
