The former Lagos state governor said Mr Babangida, after the hour long meeting, “gave me his prayers.”
“Yar’Adua and Obasanjo did, and the current regime (of President Muhammadu Buhari) is also doing it even though in a different name.”
Babangida urged Nigerians not to see him as a military dictator, but like a regular human being who has feelings.
“If you say Babangida is a thief, the first thing Nigerians will do is to believe it… They have a shallow thinking all the time.”

He said the next president must be able to hold a conversation with Nigerians on broad issues concerning the nation.
