The 37-year-old driver was said to have knocked down Benjamin Alagi, 50, while crossing the road.
The police charged the 15-year-old with defilement but the Chief Magistrate, Ejiro Kubeinje, did not take his plea.
The defendant faces life imprisonment for defilement according to Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
Mr Ajayi said that the defendant touched the breast of the teenager and tapped her buttocks, in contravention of Lagos criminal law.
The husband was said to have stolen N560,000, while the wife stole N1.68 million.
“On January 28, 2021, via transaction ID No: M35660, he received the sum of N424,811,000 from Caverton and N160,000,000 from Dana,” added the prosecutor.
The Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday remanded a 25-year-old butcher, Ibrahim Aliyu, for abducting and defiling a 14-year-old girl.
A 32-year-old woman, Foluke Olubu, accused of stealing a piggy bank containing N2.5 million, on Friday appeared before the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court.
Reports say the woman slapped the officer at the police station where her son was detained.
The police charged the accused with dangerous and reckless driving, causing grievous harm and causing death.
