Findings by a UK newspaper indicated that Mr Kanu’s British passport remains in Kenya.
“As a governor, I have asked security operatives these questions during our security meetings. One, how are the insurgents surviving, where do they get AK-47?”
Lord Alton of Liverpool will be raising the issue at the House of Lords and will query the government on the separatist leader’s transfer to Nigeria.
The governor further urged the federal government to ensure all terrorists on its watchlist regardless of their ethnicity or religion are arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.

The Kenya High Commissioner in Nigeria denied his country’s involvement in the abduction and repatriation of Nnamdi Kanu, challenging anyone to present evidence to the contrary.

The Buhari regime has continued to sidestep how it removed Mr Kanu, who was not carrying a Nigerian passport, from a foreign country.
The court ordered that Mr Kanu be remanded in prison till July 26 for continuation of his trial.
