Mr Ortom on Tuesday told reporters at the Presidential Villa that the country is sitting on a keg of gun powder without meaningful progress being made on the issue of security.
“Herdsmen cannot attack him. There are even no herdsmen in Benue state because he has driven them away.”
“They are the ones creating problems for Nigeria. Yes, the governors are the ones creating problems for Nigeria.”
“People were kidnapped. We’ve been debriefed by all of them, and we know people who took them,” the governor said.
“Herdsmen who have been destroying plantations on farmlands are not those residing in the town, but strangers.”
Mr. Ortom chided the Buhari regime for its perceived bias and conspicuous support for rampaging herdsmen.
The farmer said he was on his way to sell the cattle to recover his losses as they destroyed crops on his farm.
Police authorities in Oyo are yet to take the controversial activist into custody, despite a directive from Force Headquarters to do so.
