“Taking the security tips seriously will enhance your safety,” the NYSC DG said while addressing corps members at the Borno orientation camp in Maiduguri.
“The new state coordinator is expected to bring his rich expertise in the course of his many years with the NYSC.”
The applicants, Hauwa’u Sani-Barda, Rabi’atu Sani-Barda and Hafsat Sani-Barda, were admitted in 2018 and 2019 and graduated in 2022 and 2023.
He advised them to accept their postings in good faith, integrate with residents of their host communities, and contribute to the area’s growth.
Eight PCMs and their bus driver were abducted in August 2023 in Zamfara on their way from Uyo, Akwa Ibom, to Sokoto.
NYSC says a corps member, Mamudo Obaje, KT/23B/1153, who was serving in Katsina and died on January 4, was not killed in a road crash.
The President, however, said this could not be achieved without the support and cooperation of all Nigerians.
“The N10,000 is to cushion the effects of the fuel subsidy removal. My dear compatriots, your security is dear to us,” said the Adamawa governor.
“Most of you have been posted outside your states and geopolitical regions to broaden your understanding.”
