“We appeal to our people to be calm and patient with us. Nigeria is injured and is currently going through a surgical operation,” said Lagos deputy governor.
He said experiences garnered in surmounting challenges in the past three years would be used to entrench a system that would ensure the smooth running of the commission.
The pilgrims’ commission chair described the ongoing pilgrimage in Israel and Jordan as “wonderful, great and quite refreshing.”
The commission noted that the 2021 main pilgrimage should have commenced on May 30, but was shifted due to operational reasons.
