Mr Yunusa said, “We will now have to inform the party of the activities of that particular fellow, that we do not support somebody who is antagonistic to Peter Obi.”
He urged the aspirants to focus on practical solutions rather than making empty promises.
“He doesn’t want to participate in primaries. He prefers to be a consensus candidate, and that consensus must be him,” said the ADC chieftain.
The Obidient Movement advised Nigerians to resist the decision of the Senate.
The protesters, led by activist Aisha Yesufu and a popular street demonstrator known as ‘flag boy,’ marched through the streets of Abuja carrying placards.
“Calling Obidients divisive is what politicians do when they fear accountability,” said Mr Tanko.
Mr Obi said his decision to contest the presidency again was driven by his commitment to building a better-governed Nigeria.
Mr Tanko reaffirmed the group’s commitment to safeguarding the people’s will.
According to the statement, the duo said they joined the Obidient Movement to help structure the organisation.
According to Mr Monye, after the member was forced to refund all the money, he joined the ruling APC in his ward.
