Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged residents of the state to reflect on the values of sacrifice, obedience, love, and compassion that define the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The appointment follows the expiration of the tenure of the former chancellor, Apostle Folorunso Alakija.
Mr Adeleke described the incident as sad and unfortunate.
“I restate our endorsement of Mr President for re-election in the best interest of the South-West,” said the Osun governor.
Mr Adeleke said the adjustment was intended to support workers during the fasting season.
Mr Adeleke resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on December 2.
The announcement of Mr Famodun’s death was made by his son, David Famodun, on behalf of the family, in a statement on Sunday in Osogbo.
The Osun government has deployed 1,750 Imole Youth Corps to public primary and secondary schools.
Mr Rasheed said the caucus passed a vote of confidence in Mr Adeleke, urging him to continue consultations with all stakeholders.
