Governor Ademola Adeleke says work will commence on the state’s house project abandoned for 13 years in the Central Business District, Abuja.
Mr Rasheed said the incident happened overnight, destroying sensitive documents and exhibits, as the court building was largely razed by fire.
“I will wield the big stick. Enough is enough,” the governor said.
“The relaxation of the curfew is to take effect from Friday until further notice,” he said.
He said the restriction was to prevent hoodlums from disrupting the exercise, adding that Mr Adeleke has also directed security agencies to enforce the order.
Mr Adeleke enjoined residents to continue to be watchful, and report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods to relevant security agencies.
Mr Adeleke said the order was in line with the recommendations of the State Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy.
“The session will afford parties to list grievances and what they expect the government at all levels to do,’’ the governor said.
The Lagos state government has admitted to deporting 371 residents, whom they described as “miscreants, beggars and destitute”, back to their states.
Mr Adeleke said his government’s investigation team confirmed how luxurious buses dropped the youths in Ilesa.
