Nigeria Customs Service has intensified efforts to combat smuggling and dismantle illicit trade networks along the nation’s borders
The Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun I area command, has seized 1,202 kegs of smuggled vegetable oil with a duty paid value of N120.2 million.
The Nigeria Customs Service says it has intercepted and seized 2,437 parcels of cannabis in Ogun, with a total duty-paid value of N131,598,000 from January to date.
Mr Ekundayo said that the fight against the scourge was not for NDLEA alone but a collective responsibility.
Mr Afeni said that in line with extant laws and trade guidelines, the command had strengthened its anti-smuggling operations.
“Only when we are healthy can we perform effectively,” Mr Afeni stated.
