Army Chief Farouk Yahaya charged troops to bring an end to the insurgency in the North-East.
The military super camps have also been renamed in a decision that took effect on April 27.
The army chief said that Boko Haram had been defeated in many encounters and would continue to be defeated.
“The gallant troops successfully recovered a gun truck with an anti-aircraft gun mounted on it, eight AK47 rifles with 10 magazines.”
Army spokesman said the activities of the suspect and his accomplices were responsible for the recent attacks on troops.
Mr. Yerima disclosed that the troops’ sustained onslaught against the terrorists had continued to gain traction.
Mr. Yerima said weapons discovered from the terrorists include; 12 AK 47 rifles, 8 Fabric Nationale (FN) rifles and Improvise Explosive Devices (IEDs).
“Several terrorists were neutralised, and their gun trucks destroyed.”
