The court adjourned the suit until June 26 for a hearing on the bail application.
The commander said the command would continue to sensitise residents to the dangers of illicit drug use and trafficking.
Four passengers kidnapped by bandits along the Igbeti-Kishi road in Oyo state have been rescued, the police say.
The command said that the hideout, situated in Olomi area of Ibadan, was used by a suspect, named Oluwadamilare Adedayo, to stock large consignments of illicit drugs.
Mr Olayinka said that efforts had been intensified to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects.
Mr Lamidi is being prosecuted on allegations of murder, attempted murder, arms dealing, armed robbery and kidnapping.
The judge said that the convict was handed a light sentence being a first time offender.
Mr Joe-Fadile stated, “These loud drugs are even expensive and more dangerous than cannabis sativa.’’
“If you go to these lounges, you will find out that undergraduates, youths are always found there.”
At her visit to the centre, the chief judge said the exercise was to see inmates’ welfare and decongest the facility by discharging those denied access to justice.
