Participants at a knowledge-sharing summit on Friday emphasised the need for sexual education among persons with disabilities, especially women and girls.
The National Commission for Person With Disabilities would meet with all the presidential candidates of the different political parties to showcase their numerical strength.
“The gesture is part of the state government commitment on inclusive provision of education to all categories of people, including people with disabilities.”
Persons with disabilities have bemoaned their continued exclusion from government programmes, policies and activities.
The body urged the NPHCDA to build the capacity of health workers in Nigeria to enhance compliance with the Disability Act.
The foundation will also be hosting three series of online discussions around emerging issues ahead of the statewide exercise on June 18.
