Mr Tinubu said the era of preventable deaths on the nation’s highways must end.
Mr Aliyu underscored the need for stronger collaboration between the ICPC, FRSC, and other law enforcement bodies to promote safer roads.
He appealed to governments at all levels to prioritise the construction of cycling lanes and pedestrian walkways.
The corps marshal also prayed that the souls of the deceased travellers rest in perfect peace.
The corps said this represented 10.04 per cent, compared to 7,011 crashes that occurred in the same period in 2024.
Mr Mohammed said the affected personnel would be dismissed from service after the completion of the investigation process, in accordance with FRSC regulations.
The inauguration ceremony, held in Abuja, was jointly presided over by the corps marshal of FRSC, Shehu Mohammed, and the executive commissioner for insurance, Olusegun Omosehin.
Mr Mohammed said the corps would sustain the ongoing reforms to align with global road safety best practices across the 36 states, including the FCT.
FRSC blamed death on ignorance, greed, and disregard for safety warnings.
He stressed that collective adherence to safety rules would help reduce crashes.
