The EFCC is alleging that the former governor awarded contracts to companies where he was an interested party, using his two sons as fronts.
Mr Wike was returning a jibe by the former Jigawa governor wherein the latter labelled him a bombastic politician for his unrestrained outbursts towards his political enemies.
Weeks ago, Mr Wike had described Mr Lamido as one of the “attack dogs” of the PDP presidential candidate.
The harshest criticism must be reserved for the presidential candidate whose arrogance has complicated the party’s problems and damaged its momentum.
“Tinubu may be a master tactician. He is a good guy in planning and propaganda, but then he is on the wrong political platform”.
Mr Lamido also described Mr Obi’s presidential ambition as a “social media thing.”
Mr Lamido said Mr Wike has done well for the PDP and is fit to be Nigeria’s president after Atiku Abubakar.
Nyesom Wike’s supporters said Iyorchia Ayu’s partisan comments could shatter the widespread conclusion of neutrality previously held about the convention.
Mr Ahmed said that Mr Mustapha scored 829 out of the 832 votes cast to win the primaries, adding that Saleh Shehu, placed second with zero vote.
Mr Lamido said the earlier statement of a consensus candidate was the personal opinion of those who issued the statement.
