The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) says 115 people were killed and 1,146 injured in road crashes in Gombe in 2022.
The accident involving a Toyota Hiace Hummer bus and Peugeot Boxer was attributed to speed violation and dangerous driving.
He added that 25 people, 17 male adults and eight female adults, were involved in the accident.
The road safety agency said that the accidents occurred due to violations of road traffic laws by some road users.
Stephen Dawulung, the sector commander, told reporters in Lokoja on Sunday that the lone accident involved an articulated vehicle loaded with 45 persons and cows.
The FRSC boss added that five others were seriously injured in the crash involving one articulated vehicle and one commercial Galaxy Ford car around 7:05 p.m.
He stated that the Nissan car, marked LSR 377 BL, had a tyre burst due to the high speed, which led to the loss of control.
The FRSC boss urged motorists to go online to obtain the speed limiting devices to avoid incurring the wrath of the corps.
A total of 38 people were involved in the accident which comprised 20 men, 13 women, three male and two female children.
According to the FRSC, motorists who do not show remorse may be subjected to a psychiatric test.
