The police command in Akwa Ibom has arrested six suspected armed robbers and associates of a gang operating in Ikono, Ini, and Obot Akara council areas.

Ms John said efforts were ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected criminal network.
The command’s spokesman, Timfon John, stated this in a statement on Saturday.

The police spokesperson said preliminary investigations were ongoing to establish the full extent of their involvement.
