Mr Suberu stressed the need to educate drivers and passengers on dangers of overloading and speeding.
Some road users have, however, expressed concerns about the anticipated resumption of VIO personnel on the roads.
VIO says it has deployed 1,700 personnel to ensure the free flow of traffic during Christmas and New Year celebrations in Abuja.
