ECOWAS and the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research promised to fight against the illicit proliferation of weapons in the region.

The exercise will be conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily between September 5 and 7.
“The suspected passenger had earlier been accused by Nigeria Immigration Service of illegally being in possession of two passports.”
The Russian military officer claimed the U.S. had spent more than $5 billion on military biological programmes since 2005.
The Nigerian government has over time relied on U.S. military equipment to help address security challenges, including Boko Haram insurgency and armed banditry.
The bandits also said some police officers have been a part of the conspiracy that has fueled insecurity across Nigeria.
The arrests were announced on Sunday.
