U.S. House Appropriations Committee says Nigeria rapidly turning “one of most dangerous places on earth to follow Christ”

U.S. House appropriation committee has raised the alarm that Nigeria is rapidly becoming the most dangerous places on earth for Christians.
The Appropriations Committee disclosed this in a post on X on Saturday, days after it convened a joint briefing with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, members of the Foreign Affairs and Financial Services Committees to spotlight issues bordering on alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria.
“Nigeria is rapidly becoming one of the most dangerous places on Earth to follow Christ, and as @Robert_Aderholt noted at a roundtable this past week, “we can’t ignore this crisis.”
It added, “Appropriators will continue to defend liberty and uphold religious freedom across the globe.”
This followed its joint briefing on Tuesday to gather testimonies on alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria.
U.S. President Donald Trump redesignated Nigeria as a ‘Country of Particular Concern,’ warning of potential military invasion against terrorists targeting Christians amid campaign for Christians’ protection led by American lawmakers including Ted Cruz, Riley Moore, Nancy Mace and others.
