The group said the existing zoning arrangement must be respected.
“I am formally declaring an onslaught to win because winning is in our DNA,” he said.
Some Igbo figures such as Obi Cubana are leading the campaign in the South-East.
Mr Atiku said the timing and tone of the regulations expose a deeper agenda.
The lawmaker said that his declaration followed wide consultations and calls from across the state.
“In politics, you don’t get what you deserve; you get what you bargain for,” Mr Soludo said.
Mr Soludo linked the party’s slow growth to alleged exploitation of aspirants by officials during primaries.
The PDP terminated the discussions after the APC rejected the conditions presented to it.
The senator representing the Enugu West senatorial district, Osita Ngwu, described the endorsement as a collective decision.
The governor said he has been consulting with elders, religious leaders and other key stakeholders.
