We’ll not rest until judiciary achieves financial autonomy: JUSUN

National President of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, Marwan Mustapha-Adam, has vowed that the union will not rest until implementation of financial autonomy for the judiciary becomes a reality.
Mr Mustapha-Adamu made the disclosure during JUSUN’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Kano on Saturday.
He said the aim of the meeting was to fine-tune modalities on how financial autonomy for the judiciary will become reality.
“We are here to review the financial autonomy situation. Judicial staff need a good enabling environment to have effective justice delivery in Nigeria without any rancour,” the union president said.
According to him, protecting the Judiciary was protecting Nigeria. He added that the independent of the judiciary remains the cardinal principle of every developed and democratic nation.
Speaking earlier, Kano state branch JUSUN chairman, Mukthar Rabiu-Lawan, said that the meeting was an avenue to exchange views and issues directly affecting members of the union.
