WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook suffer worldwide outage
Social media apps Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and Whatsapp are currently experiencing downtime across the globe.
The three apps, all owned by Facebook, completely stopped working shortly before 5:00 p.m.
Other applications affiliated to the social media company such as Facebook Workplace also stopped working.
“We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible,” the social media company said on Twitter.
At the time of filing this report, many users are experiencing issues including being unable to log in, messages failing to deliver or utilising the apps’ numerous other functions.
Instagram is showing a server error while Facebook has an error for users trying to login. WhatsApp has failed to load.
