WhatsApp set to introduce disappearing messages

The social network platform is used by over two billion people across 180 countries.

WhatsApp plans to introduce a new feature that enables a message to disappear seven days after it is sent.

The messaging app company said in a statement on Thursday that the new feature will let users discard messages that should not ‘stick around forever’.

Founded by Jan Koum and Brian Acton, WhatsApp joined Facebook in 2014.

There are more than two billion WhatsApp users in 180 countries around the world.
