Governor Mai Mala Buni says his administration will complete all ongoing physical projects in the state before the end of 2025.

Abdullahi Bego, the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, gave the assurance on Wednesday while briefing journalists on the outcome of the Executive Council meeting in Damaturu.

Mr Bego noted that the state government executed many projects and programmes that positively impacted the lives of the people.

He explained that the projects, which cut across healthcare, agriculture, education, road construction, and empowerment, would be completed in 2025.

The commissioner listed the projects as including the Potiskum Modern Market, Ngalda and Yunusari markets, and the Geidam Modern Market, which were at various stages of completion.

According to Bego, the administration has completed four modern sesame seeds processing factories in Machina, Nguru, Potiskum, and Damaturu.

He said the Yobe government had also made significant progress in road construction, with many projects completed and others nearing completion.

Some of the concluded projects were the Fika-Maluri Road, Kukuri-Chukuriwa-Dawasa Road, and the Karasuwa-Galu- Gashu’a main road.

The governor commended members of the council for the success recorded in the implementation of the 2024 budget.

The governor noted that their efforts made Yobe one of the best-performing states in the country.

He urged the cabinet members to remain steadfast and do more for the Yobe people.
