VIDEO: Businesswoman says robbers pretending as customers emptied her synthetic hair store in Edo
The owner of Priceless Strands Luxury Hairs in Benin City, Edo State has called on Nigerians to help identify some robbers caught on CCTV who pretended to be customers and stole artificial hair worth millions of naira from her shop.
Taking to her Instagram page, official.pricelessstrands, on Saturday, the lady posted pictures and videos from a CCTV footage showing the faces of the suspects during the robbery.
The businesswoman alleged that a man accompanied a woman to her shop on Friday to make enquiries about making her hair only for them to return on Saturday, with other accomplices to rob her.
The victim wrote, “This is the face of one of the armed robbers who just robbed my office at 27, Tony Anene Road, off Ebenezer School, Ihama, G.R.A., Benin City. Himself and the scar faced lady on black top, came yesterday, in the guise of making enquiries of making her hair.
“Only for them to come just a couple of hours ago today, to rob the office and loot hairs worth millions in several bags!!! Kindly watch all the slides of the CCTV footage, and I would appreciate this post goes viral for them to be identified and apprehended.”
The footage showed the moment the robbery suspects took over the store. One of them pointed a gun at the two sales ladies and a lady and a man emptied the hair into nylons.
The spokesperson for the Edo State Police Command, Eno Ikoedem, however told the Peoples Gazette, that the incident had yet to be reported.
She urged the victim to visit the nearest police station to tender the CCTV footage and other relevant information.
Mrs Ikoedem said, “A lot of things are staged managed on social media. But if this is an actual robbery, stealing, unlawful seizure or armed robbery, please it shouldn’t just end with a social media post.
“Please, encourage her report this to the police station closest to her shop and tender the tapes as well, with useful information like when this occurred, time it occurred, how it occurred, whom she suspects, how they got there(in a vehicle or not), any unusual thing before or after the incident and lots more to hasten investigation, please.”
