Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday called up their first three witnesses against the Bola Tinubu presidential victory.

PDP had previously informed the tribunal that it had 100 witnesses ready to testify against Mr Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The witnesses, who were brought on trial were Joe Agada, a pharmacist and an INEC collation officer from Kogi State; Sunday Solarin Adekunle, a chartered accountant and INEC collation officer from Ogun State and Uzoma Nkem Abonta, a legislator and legal practitioner from Abia State.

Mr Atiku’s counsel revealed that the witnesses are not its star witnesses as those have been retained for a later day.

The witnesses were each given their opportunities to testify and were cross examined by counsels to Tinubu, APC and INEC based on their written statements.

Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani, the chair of the five-member panel of justices, adjourned the case for continuation of the PDP witness hearing until June 2.

Meanwhile, the lead counsel for PDP, Chris Uche, informed the tribunal that they will be preparing six or seven witnesses to testify on June 2.
